Tim Firth's hilarious play is based on the true story of eleven W.I. members who famously posed nude for a calendar to raise money for a cancer research fund.

A MULTIFACETED PROJECT: Advertising campaign, scenographic materials, and graphics for the stage play The Calendar Girls. Written by Tim Firth. Modified for local purposes and directed by Erika Hast. Jyvaskyla Huoneteatteri’s drama-comedy was running as an outdoor stage play during July and August 2015.

The project contains also the actual Calendar Girls calendar. The profit of selling the calendars was donated to Middle Finland’s Cancer Society. This project also includes the Calendar Girls photo exhibition by photographer Hanna-Kaisa Hämälainen. Theme and open discussion: all women are beautiful as they are, with the scars of their life. All images were presented as genuine, without any photo manipulation.
